Hey Reader, Managing life on the road isn’t easy—there’s always something to figure out, right? Over time, I’ve found a few tools and memberships that make RV life so...

Hey Reader, Have you ever heard of an Ask Me Anything? An AMA is a meeting where one person opens the floor to any questions from an audience. These sessions can cover a wide range of topics and don’t have to stay on subject. Of course, it’s up to the person hosting to make the rules. They’re usually hosted to help people get to know each other and expand their knowledge or view on a topic. Why am I telling you this? Well, this week I want to host an Inbox Ask Me Anything. I really want to...

Hey Reader, If you’re gonna take my advice about RV living, it’s important for you to really know who you’re getting your info from, Reader. Rather than just write out our whole life story though (who would read that, anyway?), John and I thought it would be fun to play 2 Truths and a Lie. Remember that game? We give you 2 truths and a lie about ourselves. And you hit reply and let us know which you think is the lie. Let’s go! 1️⃣ John and I met online 2️⃣ We both work FT remotely while...

An RV hitched to a pickup truck parked on a scenic, rain-soaked road next to a waterfall in a lush, green forest. Text reads: 'Get the #1 RV Trip Planning Tool.' At the bottom, there's a red banner with the RV LIFE Trip Wizard logo and a button that says

Hey Reader, Did you know that Google Maps doesn't tell you the heights of bridges? Spoiler alert, it's not going to tell you weight limits either. When you're driving an RV you need to know these things! And that's where RV Life comes in. You put in your height, length (including your tow vehicle) along with a few other details (like if you have propane on board) and then the app tells you the best routes to take. If you like the AC's on your. roof, you'll definitely like this app! This app...

Hey Reader, What's the most unique place you've ever visited? For me, it's Kentucky Down Under. They have a huge fenced in Kangaroo habitat and you can actually TOUCH the kangaroos. They were super friendly and loved to pose for pics! We actually had a lot of fun experiences in Kentucky, but this was definitely our favorite! You can read more about our time in Kentucky HERE. Adventure Awaits, Laura PS: Hit reply and tell me the most unique experience you've had so I can add it to my list of...

Hey Reader, One of the questions we see a lot is: how do you afford to travel full-time? Isn't it expensive? This one is tricky to answer because we don't know your lifestyle and the things you need to budget for. But one thing I can tell you is - we don't spend more than we did in a house. We financed our motorhome and jeep, so we have those payments each month but otherwise our "housing expenses" are pretty much none because use Thousand Trails to camp for free all year long! I know, I...

A large white motorhome with sleek gray and black accents, parked beside a row of tall pine trees. Attached behind the motorhome is a white Jeep with bikes mounted on the back. The setting is a sunny park with green grass and a clear sky.

Hey Reader, I’ve been at this full-time RVing thing for a while. And the longer I do it, the more I feel like I need to remind you that I was a newbie once, too. And by newbie, I mean it. The first time we went to hook up the jeep on moving day, was so stressful. Apparently we had the WRONG tow bar and things wouldn't line up properly. John spent over an hour trying to get us hooked up, neighbors came to try and help, even the campground owner stopped by. But, we never did get hooked up. I...

Hey Reader, One of the questions we often get asked is: How do your kids make friends when you travel all the time? Most people think traveling full-time means no there is no opportunity to make lasting friendships, but there are actually tons of other families traveling full time like us - you just have to know where to look. Our favorite way to make friends and connect with other families is through Fulltime Families So let me tell you about the time we left our kid at a campground......We...
